Cherry Cream Cheese Bake Recipe

   Cherry Cream Cheese Bake

My Momma sent me this recipe on Facebook.  Cannot wait to try it at our next family gathering.  It is Mom's and my fave!

Recipe:

1 can cherry pie filling

8 oz cream cheese, room temperature

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tube crescent rolls

1/2 stick of butter

2 tbsp vanilla

1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Grease an 8 x 8 baking dish.

Take half of the crescent rolls and lay them out on the bottom of the baking dish.

In a medium sized mixing bowl, blend cream cheese until smooth.

Once smooth, add powdered sugar and vanilla and blend.

Once blended, spoon onto the crescent rolls in baking dish and spread evenly.

Top with can of cherry pie filling.

Top with the last half (4 triangles) of the crescent rolls.

Melt butter and pour on top of crescents.

Top with granulated sugar and bake for 25 minutes or until browned.

COUPONS... Instant Savings. Use them and save BIG!

Why pay more than you need to for your household food and supplies?  Whether printed online, cut out of the newspaper or viewed on a free iPhone app, coupons can save your family lots of money.  Especially, when you are raising children with hearty appetites.  Our family tries to clip coupons, print coupons online, utitlize coupon apps plus watch for price matching opportunities on a weekly basis.  It is well worth the time.

Click here to view the actual coupon at Coupons.com

Printable and/or downloadable coupons are available online at the following sites:

Coupons.com ~ My FAVE!

Another resource is your weekly Sunday newspaper.  Be sure to check both online and the print newspaper for coupons and special offers.

Also, if you own a smart phone, be sure to download a coupon app.  Will save time, paper and possibly even more money.  We prefer the Coupons.com app.

Our family tried shopping at many of the local grocery stores, with coupons.  However, Wal-mart Super Center offers price matching and accepts coupons.  If you find an item advetised for a lower price at another store, Wal-mart will match the price.  Just make sure you mention this when you are checking out, have your back up ready (sales flier or advertisement, etc.).  The cashier with deduct the difference in price.  Please be careful, especially with meats, etc. it must match exactly.  Also, they are no longer price matching most of the produce.  This is due to the size differences at many stores.  However, it does not hurt to ask.  It is a new change and not very clear yet.  The grocery store fliers are included in your Wednesday and Sunday print newspapers.  The big plus, this makes a huge difference when buying your meat products.  In addition, some of my guys' daily lunch products, paper products and toiletries can be found for a lower price, saving our family lots of moolah on a regular basis.

All of these options can help your family achieve maximum savings.  It takes extra time in the beginning.  However, once you get your rhthym down and figure out your favorite coupon sources, it does not take near as long.

Started this a couple of years ago.  Our coupon savings continued to increase year over year.  Cannot wait to see the SAVINGS this year.  The boys' are growing up way too fast and eating us out of house and home...  LOL

Helpful Tip:  Evernote iPhone app is great for storing your grocery list and reminders.  Download on your desktop as well and sync between the two.

Do This With Us...  Take the 52 Week Money Challenge!

You can easily save $1,400.  If you are like my family, you definitely need to do this for yourself and your children.  Almost want to say desperately... It is that important.  Growing families need to make sure there are backup funds available in savings for emergencies and to help with college tuition, boarding, books, food, supplies, and who knows what else our kids' may need when they go off to college.

Guess I am slightly freaking out because my oldest just turned 12 today!  Lots of thoughts going through my mind.  Thought this was a great way to keep up and help both my kiddos and our family in the future.
